Photo Opps

The wedding party posing for photo's!  Not sure what was hotter, the hot pink number on Cindi or the big hair!  Truly a very fun nite, with some GREAT memories!  We certainly couldn't top this for the 50th Anniversary!  Stay tuned for some more "oldy but goodies". 

Still celebrating "Unity" at 50 years!

Oh, my, this makes me laugh just to look at it!  Lighting the Unity candle and no one even burned the building down!  The song being played was, "Come on Baby, Light my Fire".  Not exactly church, going songs on this night!

The Wedding Party

Steve is the best man in a very stylin' jacket, and Cindi is the maid of honor.  Now the bride and groom were Great sports!  You can tell Marge is about to bust out on these vows!  Borrowed gear:  at no cost from friends; Flowers: cheap and fake; Memories made:  Priceless!

Surprise!!!

I think the surprise was successful!  Here, Marge entered the room full of guests.  Judging by the smiles, let the fun begin!  It was at the Holiday Inn, I think we told them they were going to dinner??  How did we get them there?



The Wedding Re-enacted!

Now this was a hoot!  Dick and Marge celebrated 30 years, and Steve and Cindi planned a "mock" wedding as a surprise for them.  They showed up to a room full of guests and had to don wedding gear that was borrowed, weather in fashion or not!  And go through the whole ceremony!  Check out the "bride and groom" here!  And a few of these next photo's are "The Wedding".

Well, let's see....sportin' some cool looking shorts on Dick, and Marge has some great patterns going on.  They are on Lake Street, so 1980's for sure, (that print on Marge HAS to be 80's!!.  Dutch is still around (that's the yellow lab, Dick's baby) so I'd guess 1986!!

Nostalgia

Movie stars; Elizabeth Taylor, John Wayne, Richard Burton, Paul Newman, Elvis, Julie Andrews, Doris Day. Who else?

TV shows: Perry Mason, Route 66, Lassie, Bonanza, Gunsmoke.

A Fast Food burger was 20 cents, milk was $1.04 a gallon and we still had a milk man. Wonder Bread was making it's name and we had bread and butter at every meal.
